The upcoming festival will take place in Chinatown March 20 and 21, 2010 in the Year of the Tiger,
one of the most powerful and colorful personalities in the Chinese Zodiac.
The heart of the festival is the recently restored Bok Kai Temple, built in Marysville, California's historic Chinatown in 1888.
The popular parade, some say the oldest continuous one in America, will take place on Saturday, March 20,
and will eature a variety of floats, cultural performances, and, of course, the famous Bok Kai dragon.
Sunday, March 21, is Bomb Day, which always falls on the second day of the second month (Yee Yeut Yee) of the Chinese Lunar Year.

On this official website of the Bok Kai Festival, you will find background on the festival, a calendar of events,
a roster of sponsors and festival officials, information on how to participate in the Parade or become a sponsor or volunteer.
The Festival attracts many visitors from around California and the country (and even from overseas),
so information for travelers on lodging, dining and shopping also is included.
